Dog found in Wicklow mountains after being lost for 2 weeks
A dog who was lost in the snowy Wicklow Mountains for two weeks has been reunited with her owners after a heartwarming rescue by a pair of doctors.
Jean Francois Bonnet and Ciara Nolan are both doctors who have been working on the frontline during the Covid-19 crisis. They were walking up Lugnaquilla in Co Wicklow when they found 8-year-old golden retriever, Naoise, near the summit, who was “frozen”.
They wrapped her in one of their jackets to keep her warm, and gave her some food. The pair said that the dog was so cold and weak, that she could not even bark.
They carried her down the mountain for about 10km, kept her warm and finally reunited her with her owners after being missing for two weeks!
