I am thinking about getting hens.
My cat is an avid bird hunter, often bringing back small garden birds through the cat flap.
Would he be a threat to hens?

Hens are far larger, noisier and more assertive than garden birds and I have never heard of them being hunted by cats.
At the same time, it makes sense to be careful when making introductions. Especially in the early days while they get used to each other.
In every case I’ve ever heard of, cats and hens tolerate each other without getting upset or aggressive.
