Are Shih Tzu pups very yappy?

I have always owned German Shepherds, but my last dog died a few years ago, and a friend has a Shih Tzu pup. Will this be very yappy?

I don’t like making generalisations about any breeds: any dog can be yappy, regardless of breed. It’s best to meet both parents of any puppy, as most eventually turn out to be similar to their mother and/or father (a bit like humans). And it’s also best to train your dog properly from the start. Once you do these two things, you’re less likely to have problems (like yappiness) later.
