Three newborn kittens were found in a plastic bag in Rathcline Cemetery, Lanesborough, Co. Longford. The poor kittens were left fighting for their lives at the ISPCA National Animal Centre near Keenagh, Co. Longford.

Three Kittens Found

ISPCA Centre Manager Hugh O’Toole said:  “They were shaking with the cold and completely soaked from the rain. The kittens are no more than four weeks old and sadly have experienced the very worst start in life.  It’s heartless to think that someone placed them in a bag and just abandoned them”.

When they arrived at the ISPCA they were wrapped in towels and placed on heated pads, under a heat lamp to get them warmed up. Hugh said it was difficult to tell how long the kittens had been in a bag for. We hope that they have made a full recovery, thanks to the great work of the ISPCA.
