My cat loves being petted, rolling onto her back and purring, but whenever I rub her tummy, her attitude changes, and she gets grumpy, even biting me. What’s going on?

This is common: cats only like having certain parts of their body petted (eg head, ears, back). Although they expose their bellies when they are relaxed, most cats don’t like having this part of their body touched, and angry reactions like this are common.
